Thy Faithful Love

I chanced upon this article and was deeply touched.

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090406/tap-australia-animal-dog-offbeat-5a1703c.html

It may just be another survival tale to majority of you but let me share the unspoken love & will-power behind :)

What exactly drives a weak animal to swim 5 miles, eat carcasses & struggle for survival for 4 months?
Was it just sheer will-power alone?
Or was it something else?

To be honest, I can't even swim 5 miles in our friendly swimming pools (okay, I admit I'm lazy), let alone 5 miles in an open sea..taking in considerations the sea currents and waves.

Dogs are not born good swimmers, they do not have web-feet and usually paddles to keep afloat.
But this dog swam 5 miles to shore, weak and exhuasted.
Sophie was on the brink of dying.

But wait!!

As Sophie laid weak and dying on the island, something stirred in her.
Her love & devotion for her family, the children and the sweet old house..she called Home.
With the deepest love for her human family, it gives her a new sense of strong will-power to survive, in hope to see them again.

And mind you..Sophie is a house pet, and most prob was fed decent dog food not some dead goats. She put aside her needs, did all she can to survive 4 long months.

And finally, feel her JOY when she was reunited with her family :)

Sophie did not gave up hope when she was struggling alone in the teacherous sea and stuck on a remote island for 4 months (not 4 weeks/days).
The deep love for her human family gavesher hope and kept her going.

Now, how many of us gave up halfway in our pursue for something?

It can be a promotion at work..that you've been working very hard for or a lady/gentleman that you really adores.

Go..adopt the same will-power and bravery just like Sophie did ;)

If you have worked hard and contributed significantly, be brave and ask for that well-deserved promotion.

And..if you have been adoring that sweet lady or gentleman, be brave and share your feelings.

You could be on Cloud 9 if she/he reciprocates and a little bit disappointment if the good doesn't happens.

Well, at least now you can set your eyes on someone new.

So..with Will-power and Bravery, I shall attempt to swim 20 laps tomorrow.

Watch out for a sun-kissed me next week *winks*
