A kind colleague of mine advised over coffee today to settle for a well established man in comparison to one who just started off his career.
I label this as ‘Hunter’ versus ‘Farmer’ in business context.
A hunter is someone who hunts for potential deals and nails it while a farmer sows the seeds and gathers the harvest which the latter is often a more exhausting one.
No doubt life will be good to settle for the well established, but I prefer to sow, plough and nurture before the harvest.
Call me a sadist, but it is in times of facing difficulties, solving problems and differences together that build relationships on solid ground.
Besides, you are missing out the experience of witnessing your partner turning from pauper to prince.
How can I miss that out? I won’t spare him (God knows where?) the teasing on the humility lessons he learnt from pauper to prince.
I appreciate your kind efforts, but let me know if you have paupers instead of Ferraris yeah?
Oh yes! A pauper with a big tolerent heart for my constant teasing and bullying.
Hahahaha... * evil winks*
